Plantabox soil removal involves the use of a vacuum truck equipped with an extendable hydro jet hose and vacuum pipe. The hydro jet hose and vacuum pipe are extendable up to 30 metres, allowing access to ground floor, first floor, second floor garden beds in high rise buildings, and depending on the situation, higher floors may be accessible.

The hydro jet loosens the soil and other materials in the garden bed, and the vacuum hose sucks the soil and material directly into the storage tank on our vac truck. This process removes all the material so the plastic lining or whatever was used to waterproof the plantabox is exposed so repairs can begin, as you can see in the adjacent image.
